Where we serve

Myanmar in world map

Our ministry is located in a rural village at the corner of Yangon in Myanmar. We are dedicated to people for teaching, evangelism and church planting.

Religious in Myanmar

Myanmar is known as the country of Buddhism, and the majority of its population adheres to Buddhism. The country is divided into seven divisions and seven states, with 135 distinct ethnic groups, and the population of Myanmar is estimated to be over 53 million. Among these ethnic groups, the religious affiliation in Myanmar is depicted in the picture below.

Religious statistics

We engage in evangelism among Buddhists posing significant challenges. Due to their deep-rooted beliefs passed down from their forefathers, they are often resistant to receiving our message. Moreover, if a family member embraces Christ, they may face harsh consequences of being ostracized from their home and community, creating fear and hesitation to accept Christianity. Here are pictures depicting Buddhist practices and worship.

The Religion in Myanmar

We encounter formidable challenges in our evangelistic efforts among Buddhists, as they hold steadfast beliefs in Buddhism, and their hearts appear hardened against embracing Christ. The deep-rooted connection to their religious heritage makes it difficult for them to open up to alternative beliefs. It is a situation that calls for fervent prayers, as breaking through these spiritual barriers requires divine intervention. The strong commitment to Buddhism, coupled with the resistance to considering Christ, necessitates a profound spiritual transformation. We seek additional prayer for guidance, understanding, and compassion to help soften hearts and illuminate the path for these individuals to encounter the love and teachings of Christ.
